Senior health and wellness is a very important issue today, with the increase in life expectancy worldwide.
Physical fitness is important for everyone, but it is extremely vital to the welfare of the elderly. As we age, keeping fit becomes more challenging, and therefore we must pay particular attention to how we deal with ourselves.

As we age, our ability to communicate gets hindered by various afflictions. It is important to recognise and take active steps to ensure effective communication with seniors.
If we think about it, we will realise that much of what we do in our waking hours involves some sort of communication. Lack of proper communication could create complete chaos in our lives.

As people reach their senior years, they need to be more careful about their movements. This is particularly true during bath time.
While they can still use the conventional bath tub, it's advisable for seniors with ailments to avoid it and instead use the walk in tub.

Our elders are a great asset in community life. We look up to them for their experience, advice and emotional support, more so when they remain active and young at heart.
Imagine this: when an elderly person suddenly voids while laughing in a party, or even talking to dear ones. It wobbles the person and also those around him, or her.

Written by experienced health professionals, the book is a tool for caregivers who are working in consultation with a health care professional in providing home care for an older person.
